2015 was a very exciting year for us here at Entertech, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our families, friends, partners, and supporters for an amazing year.
A Look Back on 2015:
It was a big year for partnerships…
We added to our ever growing partner list and integrated our products and solutions bringing our partner list to 20 access control manufacturers and 13 distributors including Access Control Technology (ACT) Ltd., Axis, and Mayflex.
In April we announced our expanded partnership with Suprema Inc. to now include the United Kingdom and Ireland. Not only are we the new official operating partner in the UK market but also continue to deliver Suprema biometric products, applications and support in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico for use with access control systems and workforce management solutions.
In June we announced an exciting partnership with Digitus Biometrics, the expert in data center cabinet-level biometric locks and solutions. With the partnership we have set out to simplify the implementation, enrollment and management of biometric solutions for access control of company data centers, co-location data centers and other critical infrastructure facilities from the front door to the server cabinet.
In the fall Entertech announced our partnership with Toronto-basedNymi. The partnership will combine our enterprise identity platform, BioConnect, with Nymi’s secure and continuous wearable authentication device, the Nymi Band for access to both physical spaces and logical systems (computers, laptops, mobile phones) within the enterprise.
Finally, just a few weeks ago Actual iD announced that it has selected Entertech’s BioConnect as its identity platform to manage biometric templates for its cloud-based time and attendance application.
What else happened…
In April, we partnered with Suprema to exhibit a booth at ISC West in Las Vegas. If you didn’t get a chance to stop by our booth, check out some of the pictures from the event on our Facebook page. We will be exhibiting with Suprema again next year from April 6-8, stay tuned for more information.
In May, we made a big move….to Toronto! We moved our Entertech headquarters from Oakville, Ontario to the bustling metropolis of Toronto and we couldn’t be happier about the location change. In Toronto we are taking part of the booming tech scene and our sleek modern offices inspire creativity and collaboration from our employees and our visitors. If you’re ever in Toronto, please do stop by Liberty Village for a visit.
In October we hosted our *official* BioConnect Launch party and it was a huge success. Over 250 people attended to experience and celebrate the evening with us. We hosted an incredible speaker series with Peter O’Neill of Find Biometrics, Maxine Most of Acuity Market Intelligence, John Haggard and Shawn Chance of Nymi who all spoke of the exciting future of the biometrics industry. If you missed the event see the recap video here: Highlights from the BioConnect Launch Party
Just one week later we hosted a HackerNest event that brought in another 200+ visitors to our offices for the monthly Hacker Nest tech social meet-up. It was a fascinating event and we met some really great people from the Toronto tech industry. Attendees of this event also participated in DementiaHack, a two-day hack-a-thon to create products that improve lives today.
